Our hotel has a fascinating history that begins with the company AB Sunlight, which was one of Sweden's largest soap factories at the beginning of the 20th century. AB Sunlight was founded by entrepreneur HA Fahlstedt in 1885 and the soap factory was originally based in Stockholm. Sunlight was one of the first companies in Sweden to use modern production methods and marketing techniques to expand its business.
THE MANUFACTURING YEAR
In the 20th century, the company decided to expand its operations by building a large soap factory in Nyköping. The factory was one of the largest in Sweden at the time and employed many workers.
